Just dropping by the blog to share a few super quick DIY ideas for dressing up a spring vase. You don’t even need to be “crafty” to be extremely successful with this project. Make them in colors to complement your decor or to match the season. Mix and match prints, patterns and textures in the items you use….there’s no limit in the options available!
You Will Need:
- 1 or more cylindrical glass vases – you can find these in our Floral Department
- a “wrap around” item:
- Kitchen linens such as the napkins or towels found on the Country Corner Gift Deck
- Scrapbook paper
- twine, lace or ribbon scraps to tie around the vase
- optional: chalkboard gift tag, chalk, paper clip
Let’s Get Started!
Cut paper to height of vase – stripes make it easy! Gently roll into a tube and slide into the vase. Hold everything together with a paper clip if needed.
Fold the towel in half or in thirds depending on the height of the vase. Lay the vase on one end and roll the towel around. Tie closed with a ribbon and tuck the top ends of the towel into the vase.
Fold the napkin so it matches the height of the vase. Lay the vase on one end and roll the towel around. Wrap with twine and tie.
Want to add a bit more decoration? Use a chalkboard label (or cut your own from chalkboard paper) and add a little spring message to your vase. Just punch a hole in top and tie it on.
Pretty sweet, huh? You’ll be done in a flash!
