In case you missed the earlier beginning session or just want to repeat it to brush up, this class welcomes individuals brand new to watercolor painting. It provides a welcoming environment and a unique place to learn all that you need to know to begin watercolor painting. We will cover supplies, e.g. paper, paints, brushes, which brands should be used and how each is used. You will learn the three most basic techniques in watercolor: wash, wet-into-wet and wet-on-dry paper and have time to practice yourself. The instructor will demonstrate and then move around the classroom providing ample time for individual attention. Once you have completed this class, you will be all set to join the watercolor studio class series the following week to apply all that you’ve learned and make some fantastic art! Pattie has been an artist and art teacher for more than two decades. She has taught a variety of groups and ages and loves to watch others grow in their love of art and the creative process. While she has tried her hand at just about every project that you can find in a store like Ben Franklin Crafts, she primarily works in sketching, watercolor painting, some acrylics and dabbles with oils and a palette knife.
