This workshop is designed for everyone who wants to paint with watercolors: Brand new students who have taken the Beginning Watercolor Workshop, as well as those with some experience or those who are advanced. Each studio workshop session is designed to present a particular topic/technique in a brief demonstration by the instructor and then allows free time to work on a piece of your own subject matter with the technique presented or of a subject of your choosing. In either case, the instructor will move around the room allowing ample time for individual attention. Be sure to bring reference material or photos of subjects that interest you.
The instructor will plan to have demonstrations ready to present. However, as the studio workshops progress, input from the students or requests to cover certain topics or techniques will be welcomed.
Prerequisites: If you are brand new to watercolor painting, please register for the Beginning Watercolor Workshop as a prerequisite to this series of studio workshops. It is assumed that you know about watercolor paper and types, brushes and sizes used for each technique and about watercolor pigments/brands designed for this type of painting.
Workshop Prerequisites: By signing up for this workshop, you agree that you meet the listed prerequisites (if any).
Workshop fees are non-refundable.

Pattie has been an artist and art teacher for more than two decades. She has taught a variety of groups and ages and loves to watch others grow in their love of art and the creative process. While she has tried her hand at just about every project that you can find in a store like Ben Franklin Crafts, she primarily works in sketching, watercolor painting, some acrylics and dabbles with oils and a palette knife. She enjoys crochet and making gifts for her family!
